Bible Studies

We believe that growing in our understanding of the Bible is an essential part of the Christian life.  Through Bible studies and biblically-based topical studies, individuals learn the relevance of the Bible in today's world.  These studies help us in our daily decisions and our daily living.

We typically offer adult studies in the fall and spring, mirroring the school year.  Check back later for spring studies.  Our current and upcoming studies are:

Made to Crave – a 6-week women’s study.

In this Lysa TerKeurst study, women will discover the missing link between a woman's desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. The reality is…we were made to crave. Craving isn't a bad thing. But we must realize God created us to crave so we'd ultimately always desire more of Him in our lives. Many of us have misplaced that craving towards overindulging in physical pleasures instead of lasting spiritual satisfaction. This study combines the power of scientific research, Biblical principles, and loving accountability to tackle the food struggle we all face.  Satisfy your deepest desire with God, not food.  Even if you are not in a place where you want/need to lose weight, this study will still help you work toward physical, emotional, and spiritual health.  The study meets Friday mornings from 10:30 a.m. – Noon in the Wilder Center Dining Room and begins January 13th.

What’s the Least I Can Believe and Still be a Christian?

Wednesday Night Study – 6:30 – 7:30pm

Starts January 11th

Pastor and author Martin Thielen has compiled a list of ten things Christians need to believe--and ten things they don't--to "qualify" as Christians. This lively and engaging book will be a help to seekers as well as a comfort to believers who may find themselves questioning some of the assumptions they grew up with.

Many people in the twenty-first century hunger for an expression of Christian faith that is different from the judgmental and narrow-minded caricatures they see on television or in the news. With an accessible style that's grounded in solid biblical scholarship, Thielen articulates centrist, mainline Christianity in a way that's fresh and easy to understand and offers authentic Christian insights that speak to our deepest needs.
