Children's Sunday School/files/Images/Children/Children-clip.jpg

The mission of our children's Sunday school ministry is to raise our young children into disciples of Jesus Christ.  Our classes encourage spiritual and emotional growth through a variety of Bible lessons, discussions, music, art, drama, and recreation.  We also realize the importance of supporting parents.  Parents are the most important role model in their child's guidance and development.  We hope to nuture a positive parent/child relationship based on Christian principles.  Therefore, our parents are invited to participate in all areas of our our Children's ministry.  Of course, the children's safety is always our first priority and we are a Safe Sanctuaries congregation (click here to learn more about Safe Sanctuaries).

To register your child for Sunday School, please download this form and return it to Jenny Holdbrooks, our Director of Children's Ministries.

Our Classes

Wee Love Jesus - Toddlers                                       Education Building - Room A-104

The Toddler program concentrates on the theme and experience of love.  God loves the toddler, his/her family and the world.  The toddler begins to realize God's love through seeing family, others, and all things around him/her as God's gifts.  They will experience God's love in playing with others, singing, and hearing Bible stories.

Joyful Angels - 3 & 4 Year-Old Class           Education Building - Room A-101

Joy is the main theme of this class and God's love is the source of our joy.  The children will experience joy through family activities and through Church Worship and life.  Aspects of worship and stories from Scripture highlighted in our "Live Big" curriculum give examples and reasons for joy.

Kids 4 Christ - K thru 2nd Grade Class      Education Building - Room A-307

This class concentrates on the theme of loving God as an obedient response to God.  Through examples of men and women of the Bible as presented by "Live Big," the children will begin to understand sin and forgiveness in light of God's love.  Through these examples and through the acts of worship and life, the child learns to respond to God with love and obedience, forming a foundation of morality.

Bible Adventurers - 3rd & 4th Grade Class          Education Building - A-301

These children will take-off on a fun and exciting journey through God's Word.  They will learn all kinds of things about the Bible, with a focus on how to use the Bible to grow closer in their relationship with God.  They will experience hands-on Bible activities to help apply biblical truths to their own lives.

Living Inside Out - 5th Grade Class              Administration Building - B-101

This class focuses on issues children of this age face on a daily basis.  The children use games, hands-on activities and technology to learn biblical responses to real "stuff."  This class meets in the youth wing to help prepare the children for the transition to the Youth Group.

Claiming the Faith - 6th Grade Class          Administration Building - B-302

In this class, 6th graders become grounded in biblical studies and Wesleyan theology as they prepare to consider church membership.  Many members of this class are part of a formal "confirmation" class.  Activities include study, field trips, and mission projects.  This class is designed to prepare these "tweens" for full participation in the youth group when they reach 7th grade.
