Cub Scouts
Cub Scouting is a family program geared towards boys in 1st – 5th grade with age appropriate activities that stress duty to God, country, family and community. Each age group is led by at least one or two parent leaders that meet together for a activity once a week for about a hour. Basic camping, outdoor skills and appreciation for the outdoors are a part of the Cub Scout program but is not the main emphasis.
Each age group advances through a number of achievements throughout the year and eventually earns a badge for completing those achievements.
Boys that complete the program graduate to the more rigorous Boy Scout program for boys age 11-18. Boys that complete the Cub Scout program are better prepared for Boys Scouts and are able to better participate in that program.
Cub Scout Pack 113 meets on Tuesday nights at 6:30pm during the school year with a gathering in the Wilder Center.
Several church members are active in scout leadership and Tim Galloway is the current Cubmaster. For more information, contact Tim at: jtgalloway@hotmail.com or 706-232-1206.
