Our Missionaries
Rome First UMC proudly sponsors two United Methodist Missionary families: Emmanuel and Beverly Barte, and Gordon and Maria Tereza Greathouse. The Barte's are serving in Laos and the Greathouses are serving in Brazil.
The church supports these families financially and prayerfully sponsers them in order to enable their ministries. One way the church supports these families is through our "52 Club." Members pledge to give $52 a year ($1 a week). Both families serve through the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries.
