We feel blessed that you have chosen us to care for your toddler. We promise to love and care for them as you would at home.
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the teachers in the Duckling class. Jennifer Godfrey will be here all four days. Mandi Blalock will assist her on Mondays and Wednesdays and DeAnn Richardson will assist on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Jennifer Godfrey is recent graduate of Shorter University and has a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been at the preschool for four years. During her time at Rome First School, she has worked in the two-year-old room and as a sub. Jennifer also teaches dance at Joanne Collier Studio of Dance and works in the nursery at First United Methodist Church. She loves working with children and is very excited to start a new adventure in the Duckling room!
Mandi Blalock is a mom of preschoolers and was an assistant in the toddler room last year. Her twins, Findley Grace and Harris will be in Ms. Tracey’s Lovebug class this year. She also has Brewer who will be in second grade this year. She is married to Chad and they attend First United Methodist Church.
DeAnn Richardson is a mom of three. Jake and Sam will be at Unity Christian School and Molly will be in Mrs. Tracey’s Lovebug Class, here at Rome First School. DeAnn has worked as a sub for Rome First School, but this will be her first year in a classroom.
We will have an Orientation on Thursday, August 11th at 10:00 a.m. in the Wilder Center. Gina Loveman, our preschool director will conduct the orientation with everyone. Come a few minutes early and drop your child off in the Duckling class on the first floor. If your child is not comfortable playing in the classroom during the meeting, feel free to bring him/her with you. The first day of school is Monday, August 15th from 9:00-1:00. Don’t forget to send a lunch.
