Welcome to the Busy Bee class! 

My name is Ashley Burns and I am excited about the privilege of serving as your child’s teacher this school year. This will be my second year at Rome First School.  I am a certified teacher and have taught at Rome Middle School and West End Elementary School.  My husband, Kevin, and I have one daughter, Taylor, who is four.  I stayed at home with Taylor before joining the Rome First Family last year. Taylor will be here in Mrs. Lively’s Lion Class.

Traci Reynolds will be my assistant in the Busy Bee class on Mondays and Wednesdays.  She has worked at Rome First School for the past five years in the twos, threes, and as a sub.  She is married to John and they have two children, Justin (14) and Kyla (10). 

Pam Luk will be my assistant in the Busy Bee class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Pam has worked at RFS for the past five years.  She has been in the two-year old class for those years.  Pam has teenage children and has a special place in her heart for preschool children.  On the days that Pam is not with us, she teaches pre-k at another program in town.

We will have an Orientation on Thursday, August 11^th at 10:00 a.m. in the Wilder Center.  Gina Loveman, our preschool director will conduct the orientation with everyone.  Come a few minutes early and drop your child off in the Busy Bee class on the second floor across from the preschool office.  If your child is not comfortable playing in the classroom during the meeting, feel free to bring him/her with you. The first day of school is Monday, August 15^th from 9:00-1:00. Don’t forget to send a lunch.
