Welcome to the Turtle class! 

We feel blessed that you have chosen Rome First School to care for your child. 

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the teachers in the Turtle class.  Stephanie Stevens and Amanda Davidson are the teachers in the Turtle class.  Stephanie and Amanda have a special working relationship due to the fact that they are sisters. 

Stephanie is married to Charles and they have four children. Theresa and Mark attend Rome High School, and James and Spruell attend East Central Elementary.  The Stevens are active members of First Presbyterian Church.

Amanda is married to Greg and they have three children.  Katie is a college graduate and a newlywed, Hunt is pursuing his master’s degree at Belmont College, and John Dennis is a freshman at the University of South Carolina and a member of the men’s soccer team.  The Davidson family spent several years as missionaries in Bolivia.  They are also active members of First Presbyterian Church.

We will have an Orientation on Thursday, August 11th at 10:00 a.m. in the Wilder Center.  Gina Loveman, our preschool director will conduct the orientation with everyone.  Come a few minutes early and drop your child off in the Turtle class on the second floor next to the preschool office.  If your child is not comfortable playing in the classroom during the meeting, feel free to bring him/her with you. The first day of school is Monday, August 15th from 9:00-1:00. Don’t forget to send a lunch.
