Frog Room Welcome

Dear Preschool Families and Friends,

 

Welcome to the Frog Class at Rome First School for the 2011-2012 school year. 

 

My name is Allison Jones and I have the pleasure of enjoying your child this next school year.  I have enjoyed working with young children since my earlier days working at the Child Development Center while attending Berry College where I received a degree in Early Childhood Education.  I taught third grade at Pepperell Elementary School.  For the past seven years, I have worked at Rome First School with the toddlers, twos, and threes.  I am married to Ken and have two girls, Mary Bailey (16) and Sally (12).

 

Mandy Dobson will be my assistant this year.  Mandy is married to Kevin and they have one daughter, Shelby Kate (7).  Mandy has a degree in counseling and has worked with children throughout her career at the Domestic Violence Shelter and DFCS. She has served in several ministries at her church including MOPS and Awanas. She enjoyed her first year at Rome First School and is looking forward to another wonderful year.

 

Please plan to attend Orientation on Thursday, August 11th at 10:00 am where you will receive information about our curriculum, class schedules, and volunteer opportunities.  Gina Loveman, our preschool director will conduct the orientation in the Wilder Center.  Please arrive a few minutes early and bring your child to the classroom to play during the meeting.  The Frog class is on the first floor, the second room on the right.  The first day of school is Tuesday, August 15th from 9:00 – 1:00.  Don’t forget to send lunch.

 

We anticipate a great year as we learn and grow together.

Frog Room Supply List (3-year-olds)

  • 1 package of 3oz plastic bathroom cups
  • 1 refill packages of unscented Baby Wipes 
  • 1 box of Kleenex
  • 1 box quart Ziploc bags
  • 1 container of Clorox wipes
  • 1 set of watercolor paints
  • 1 box of Crayola washable markers (Classic colors)
  • 1 package of glue sticks
  • 1 complete change of clothing in a labeled Ziploc bag
  • 1 one-inch white 3-ring binder with clear front cover
