Lion Room Welcome

Dear Preschool Families and Friends,

 

Welcome to the Lion Class at Rome First School for the 2011-2012 school year.  I wanted to take this time to introduce myself to all of you.

 

My name is Andie Lively.  This will be my second year teaching Pre-K at Rome First School.  I am married to Corey and we have two children.  Logan is 8 and attends Armuchee Elementary School.  Luke is 5 and will be a kindergartener at Glenwood Elementary School.  I am a certified teacher and a team coach for gymnastics at the RFPRA and previously served as the gymnastics coordinator. 

 

My assistant is Sommer Kirby.  Sommer has been at the preschool for the past five years.  This is Sommer’s third year assisting in pre-k.  She previously taught the two-year-old class.  She is married to Blake and has three children, Reese (13), Harrison (10), and Ava (4). 

 

Please plan to attend Orientation on Thursday, August 11th at 10:00 am where you will receive information about our curriculum, class schedules, and volunteer opportunities.  Gina Loveman, our preschool director will conduct the orientation in the Wilder Center.  Please arrive a few minutes early and bring your child to the classroom to play during the meeting.  The Lion class is on the third floor.  The first day of school is Monday, August 15th from 9:00 – 1:00.  Don’t forget to send lunch.

 

We anticipate a great year as we learn and grow together.

Lion Room Supply List

(Please try to bring these supplies to orientation)

  • 1 regular size backpack with zipper closure (big enough to hold a folder)
  • 1 pair Fiskar scissors
  • 2 boxes of Crayola washable markers (Classic Colors ONLY)
    •
  • 1 box Crayola crayons (24 count)
  • 2 sets of 8-count watercolor paints
  • 1 one-inch white 3-ring binder with clear front cover
  • 1 container of Clorox wipes
  • 1 box Kleenex
  • 2 glue sticks (school glue gluesticks work best)
  • 1 full change of clothing in a labeled Ziploc bag
