Lovebug Room Welcome

Dear Preschool Families,

 

Welcome to the Lovebug Class at Rome First School for the 2011-2012 school year.

My name is Tracey Cargle and I have the pleasure of enjoying your child this next school year. I have worked at Rome First School for six years. I started in the two year old class and have worked in the pre-k class for the past 5 years. I am married to Tim and we have a daughter, Katie (14). We are members at the North Rome Church of God, where we are very active with the youth.

 

Leigh Goggans is my assistant. Leigh has been at Rome First School for three years in the pre-k class. Leigh is married to Austin and they have two boys, Thomas (6) and Ethan (4), who will be in the pre-k class here at the preschool. They attend St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, where Austin is the pastor.

 

Leigh and I have lots of fun things planned for the year and can’t wait to get to know your child.

Please plan to attend Orientation on Thursday, August 11th at 10:00 A.M. where you will receive information about our curriculum, class schedules, and volunteer opportunities. Gina Loveman, our preschool director, will conduct the orientation in the Wilder Center. Please arrive a few minutes early and bring your child to the classroom to play during the meeting. The Lovebug class is on the third floor. The first day of school is Monday, August 15th from 9:00-1:00. Don’t forget to send a lunch.

 

We anticipate a great year as we learn and grow together.

Lovebug Room Supply List

(Please try to bring these supplies to orientation)

  • 1 regular size backpack w. zipper closure (big enough to hold a folder and lunchbox)
  • 1 School Supply Box (Plastic with attached lid - 8", ex. Small Spacemaker)
    •
  • 1 pair Fiskar scissors
  • 1 box Crayola crayons (24 count)
  • 2 boxes of Crayola washable markers (Classic Colors ONLY)
  • 2 sets of 8-count watercolor paints
  • 1 one-inch white 3-ring binder with clear front cover
  • 4 glue sticks (school glue gluesticks work best)
  • 1 bottle hand sanitizer
  • 2 boxes Kleenex
  • 1 box sandwich sized Ziploc bags (Boys)
  • 1 box gallon sized Ziploc bags (Girls)
  • 1 full change of clothing in a labeled Ziploc bag
