ROME
FIRST SCHOOL: Philosophy
We believe the preschool years should feel successful,
happy, loved, and relaxed. We strive to provide a stimulating
environment in which children learn through exploration
and discovery. The years your child spends here will
help stimulate an awareness of love and God.
Goals
1. To develop the total child.
2. To develop positive and responsible relationships
with other children and adults.
3. To offer age-appropriate activities that will encourage
success and creativity.
4. To promote faith in God through prayer, chapel, and
other religious activities in the classroom.
Curriculum:
Our program provides developmentally appropriate
activities organized around monthly and seasonal themes
and Bible stories.

Pre K-5 once a week. Children enjoy learning basic
music theory, age appropriate songs, and music appreciation.
Chapel
Chapel is provided for those students in the three-year-old
through Pre K-5 classes once per week. Children sing,
dance, and role-play as they listen to and learn Bible
stories and Christian concepts.
Creative Movement
The toddler through Pre K-5 classes will receive a
30-minute movement session each week with dance instructor
Bambi Waters. Movement will help facilitate the development
of motor skills, listening skills, rhythm, and self
control.
