Julie Grigsby

Director of Rome First School

Hi, my name is Julie Grigsby and I am the Director of Rome First School.

I have been working in the field of education since I graduated from college in 1995. My career has included teaching preschool and elementary grades in Memphis, Atlanta, and Rome. Most recently, I served as a PreK-5th grade Learning Specialist at Darlington School. I received my Bachelor's in Psychology and Elementary Education at Rhodes College and my Master's in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Memphis. Moreover, I also hold my Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator Level (OGCE/OGA) Certification. This allows me the ability to apply the principles of the OG approach to modify and provide literacy instruction to dyslexic students.

In addition to working, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Bob, and I have three boys. Walker is a student at Ole Miss, Thomas is a boarding student at McCallie School in Chattanooga and Stewart is a student at Darlington School.
