Jennifer Talley, Director of Communications
September 18, 2011
Jennifer began working at Rome First UMC as the Director of Contemporary Worship in 2011. She led, organized and managed the praise band and produced the contemporary service at Rome First. Through the years, she has had the title of Dir. Of
Love God Ministries, Connection and Communications. As Dir. Of Communications, she oversees all of the internal and external communications of Rome First and is the foundation for collaboration with the program staff and clergy.
Jennifer is from West Texas and a 1987 graduate of Texas Tech University and earned a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She found herself drawn to Georgia because of her mothers Georgia roots and her Grandmother living in Atlanta at the time. She found herself moving to Rome after receiving a paralegal degree and getting her first job with a local law firm. She met her husband, Jim Talley, on a blind date. They live in Rome and have two sons, Sam and Jack. A fun fact about Jennifer is she went to Permian High School in Odessa, Texas. This is the high school, football team and town the movie Friday Night Lights is based on.
