End of School Year Lock-In

End of year lock in June 2! Join us for a lock in starting at 6pm and lasting until 9am on June 3. Rising 6th graders are invited too. Bring $5 and a friend! We will eat dinner, a midnight snack, and breakfast together. Please let me know ASAP if your student plans to attend and any friends they might bring, so we can have the right amount of chaperones.

Super Important Parent Meeting June 2

After you drop your youth off at the church, walk over to Mellow Mushroom for a parent meeting. Take the stairs by the host stand up to the small room overlooking broad street. We'll go over the summer schedule, talk about the Fall's affinity groups, review confirmation, and much more. The church is even buying the food! So please let me know if you plan to attend. Also, parents of rising 6th graders are invited too, so spread the word.

We'll go over it in detail at the super important parent meeting June 2, but for planning purposes here are the dates for the Summer.
Every Sunday in June and July (except June 18th for father's day) at 5pm we have something fun scheduled.
Every Wednesday in June and July we have an all day event planned. Every Thursday we will have lunch together in June and July

Affinity-Based Youth Ministry

We must involve teenagers in the life of the congregation.
We have to become passionate about inter-generational ministry.
We won’t succeed if we don’t offer belonging.

The entry point of belonging will now be affinity based small groups.
Groups will be based on common interests, activities, and questions.
Each group will be led by Parker, Hannah, or myself.
Each group will also have at least 1 additional church member who has an affiliation or passion for the area.
Youth can be a part of more than one group and are encourage to bring friends who are interested in the conversation and activity.
