Julie is from and lives in Cartersville, Georgia. She teaches at Georgia Highlands College applied piano and voice. She is the Founding Artistic Director of The Callback Company, a musical theatre audition preparation and consulting service
Julie has been a vocal coach in Chicago, Naples, Florida and New York City with acting singers from the stages of the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway, various national tours and regional productions. Julie made her Broadway debut playing Piano for Mary Poppins and has accompanied Actors Equity Association principal and ensemble auditions, classes at New York University and Barnard-Columbia, theatre auditions at The Juilliard School as well as DCINY performances at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall (Lincoln Center) and the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra (Florida) with several notable conductors, composers and vocalists including Andrea Bocelli, Eric Whitacre, Joseph Martin, Christiane Noll, Judy McLane, and Bernadette Peters. Julie was accompanist for the first National Musical Theater Competition at the 2012 NATS Conference in Orlando where she also accompanied various workshops including a masterclass with Nathan and Julie Gunn. Julie performed as accompanist in September 2015 with Richard Tucker 2015 Award-winner and 2013 Cardiff Singer of the World, Jamie Barton, in a recital at Rome, Georgia’s DeSoto Theatre. Most recently, Julie presented a Musical Theatre Masterclass for the Tampa Bay Area NATS at the University of South Florida.
