What to Expect
You’ll find two worship services at Rome First, a contemporary, more casual service at 9:00 am in the Garnett M. Wilder Center and a traditional service at 11am in our beautiful, historic sanctuary. There are Sunday morning classes offered for all ages at 10:00 am and childcare for children 5 and under from 8:30 am until after the 11am worship service.
Our Cross Roads Cafe offers refreshments in the lobby every Sunday morning.
Some families like to sit around the tables in the worship space so their children can enjoy their snacks and color during the sermon which makes our contemporary service a family friendly option.
The 11am Traditional service is a bit more formal, though you’ll find people wearing everything from their “Sunday best” to jeans. Don’t worry about what you wear, we just hope you’ll find what you need in worship.
Most of our parking is in a lower lot near 2nd Ave, with entrances from both 2nd and 3rd Streets. There is visitor and handicap accessible parking in the smaller parking lot right by the Wilder Center entrance off 2nd St. There is also some handicap street parking on 3rd Ave. in front of the Sanctuary Building. There will be greeters inside the doors who can help you find your way around our building. There is also a campus map on this website and at our Connection Centers if you want to check one out to find your way around.
